About us

Balagan began in 2007 in Kharkiv, Ukraine, as a small costume rental studio. Working closely with customers taught us something essential: great costumes aren’t just about looks — they must fit well, feel comfortable, and stand the test of time. That insight inspired us to create our own production atelier, starting with a team of five.

As demand grew from rental businesses, dance groups, and theatre studios, we launched an online store and expanded into series production — while keeping the same focus on quality and practicality. Our costumes are made to last: we choose durable, high-quality fabrics and use thoughtful construction and fitting techniques so each design adapts well to different body types, heights, and sizes.

For years, Balagan has supplied costumes both wholesale and retail, serving customers across multiple countries.

In 2022, war reached our home. We relocated our production and our team to Ivano-Frankivsk, in western Ukraine, closer to the Polish border. Despite the challenges, we continue to do what we love — creating costumes that bring colour, joy, and celebration to people’s lives.
